Join the PTO and the Knights of Columbus for an Ice Cream Social this Sunday, August 23rd, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at St. Thomas School in the John Schumacher Gym.
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Aftercare Worker to join our school team. The successful candidate will help provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for children at the end of the school day.
You will support children with a range of activities, including games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, reading and quiet activities, while ensuring their wellbeing and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities
*Supervise children during the aftercare period.
*Lead fun, age-appropriate activities.
*Create a positive, inclusive and nurturing environment.
*Ensure children are safe and well cared for at all times.
*Support children with their individual needs.
*Communicate positively with children, parents and school staff.
*Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming aftercare area.
*Follow school safeguarding, health and safety policies and procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
*Warm, patient and approachable.
*Responsible, dependable and well organised.
*Confident working with children.
*Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
*Creative and enthusiastic about providing engaging activities.
*Committed to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.
Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare or youth setting is desirable, but we welcome applications from enthusiastic candidates with the right attitude and transferable experience.
You will support children with a range of activities, including games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, reading and quiet activities, while ensuring their wellbeing and safety at all times.
