*St. Thomas School’s PTO is looking for volunteer babysitters!

 

PTO would like to provide childcare for our upcoming meetings.  If you are interested in babysitting during our next meeting, please contact Ray Zumbahlen at rayzumbahlen@gmail.com letting him know which dates you would be available to help.  This is a great opportunity to volunteer!

 

WHERE:  The Aftercare Room

WHEN:  Wednesday, August 24th

TIME:  Meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. and last approximately 1.5 hours.  Babysitters will need to arrive at 5:45 p.m.

DETAILS:  All children will be potty trained.  Parents will be in the John Schumacher Gym and available if needed.  Toys/Games/Activities will be available.

*The High School of Saint Thomas More is inviting all to their Fall Sports Showcase at STM on Saturday, August 20th starting at 5:30 p.m.  They will begin by introducing the Fall teams and have a guest speaker from the University of Illinois, the new head women’s basketball coach, Shauna Green.   After Coach Green speaks, some of the teams will be scrimmaging.  There will be a full concession stand indoors and outdoors where hotdogs, hamburgers, and pork chops will be available for purchase.  They look forward to seeing you there.  Go Sabers!

*8:30 a.m.—Children’s Mass (K-8th)/St. Thomas Church/All are Welcome/The Mass will be Live Streamed through our school website.

 

**On Friday mornings when school is in session, there will be an All-School (K-8th) Children’s Mass at 8:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Church.  Students should wear their Mass Day Attire to school on Mass days.  The public is welcome to attend our school Masses this year. 

 

**PTO is in the process of compiling a list/database of subject matter experts willing to assist our teachers in the classroom with various topics. Teachers will be able to search and utilize these contacts to assist with curriculum planning and engage with family and community members as well. **St. Thomas School collects used printer cartridges all year to recycle for coupons to use towards the purchase of office/teacher supplies.  If you or your company have any to recycle, please leave them in the school office.  Thank you for your support.
