Welcome to K-1!!
We are very excited to be back in school and have enjoyed our first few days together!
This week we have spent time getting to know one another and our surroundings. Please encourage your child to complete their brown bag owl project and return it next week. We would like to have them all completed by the end of next week.

Today we attended a school-wide assembly regarding the Solar Eclipse that will occur on Monday. Please note that K-1 students will be participating in fun, non-viewing classroom activities on Monday. We will NOT be viewing the eclipse outdoors.

Please begin sending your child to school with a healthy snack every day (including school lunch days!) to be eaten at our morning snack time in the classroom. Some suggestions are: fruits, veggies, crackers, low-fat cheese, trail mix, low-fat yogurt, popcorn, granola bars, fruit bars, whole grain cereal etc. It is very helpful to us if the snack is somewhere your child can easily access it independently without getting out their entire lunch. :)

If you have not returned your pink student information form to your homeroom teacher, please do so as soon as possible. Thank you!

We are looking forward to a fantastic year together!

Many blessings,
Mrs. Calcagno and Mrs. Dodd
