Happy Advent!
Our class had a wonderful time celebrating the 100th birthday of our state. It was the perfect time to pay tribute to the amazing people, places, and things that are being born, built, and grown in Illinois every day.

We want to thank Katie Graham and all of the volunteers who helped at Santa’s Workshop this week. We look forward to this event each year; our students loved shopping with their buddies buying gifts for loved ones. This event would not be possible if it were not for all of the amazing volunteers! We are grateful for you!

Informations and paper about the annual Knights of Columbus ‘ “Keep Christ in Christmas” poster contest was sent home last week. If your child would like to participate in this event, all entries and posters are due by Friday, December 14th. This contest is optional for K-1 students.

Our Christmas program will be held at 6:30pm on Wednesday, 12/12 at the church. Your child should wear church/holiday attire; no jeans, please. There will be a full dress rehearsal on the 12th at 10am which public and family members are welcome to attend. Your child should be dropped off at their homeroom classroom at 6pm on Wednesday evening before the program.

As cooler temperatures have arrived, please make sure your child is sent to school with a winter coat, mittens, and a hat every day. We go outside for recess unless the wind chill is below 20 degrees or the weather is inclement.

Have a blessed Advent season,
Mrs. Dodd and Mrs. Elliott
